During her illness, the only thing that could entertain Hikari was some music she was listening to, and it was the only thing that could keep Hikari's mind on anything but her illness. When she got better, Hikari swore to her parents that she would become a singer, in the hopes that she could bring the same kind of hope to other people that she had gotten. Years later and Hikari had achieved some part of her dreams, having moved from Iwatodai to the Sendo Economic City to both find work and seek her fortunes. Two years ago, Hikari had launched a cover channel, RUNE, which gained a reasonable following on social media, with her covers of popular anime openings, to the point that she had done some original pieces. However, her greatest dream was to perform with the era's greatest divas - the Queens of Music, the trio of the singers considered the best in the 2020s; Azusa Kumon, Haruka Shirokawa and Setsuna Kamisato. In particular, she idolised Azusa, going to every concert of hers she could afford to go to, buying all her albums and owning all of her merchandise. Hikari is also well-known as one of the chief contributors to a fansite devoted to Azusa, and has covered many of her songs. Most of all, however, Hikari wanted to sing. Singing was all she could think about, all that she wanted to do. She wanted to bring the same kind of happiness to others as singing did to her. A helpful and kind sort, Hikari was the kind to help others out in small ways, but she viewed music as the way she could achieve her dream - of inspiring others as she had once been. And so, when Fire Soul, the agency that Azusa was signed under, did auditions looking for new members of Fire Soul several months ago, Hikari reached out and did her best. However, unfortunately, she didn't make it into Fire Soul - much to the surprise of the (cute) production assistant present. Not one to let it bother her, however, Hikari simply smiled, and said that when they opened auditions again, she would become good enough to join Fire Soul and work alongside her idol Azusa, before leaving. Being such a giant Azusa fan, when the tickets of the Queens of Music 2028 concert came out, Hikari spent days to get tickets for herself, to see her idol in concert. Little did she know that this would be her ticket to working with her idol...
